Cookbooks are a great resource for baking, there are thousands out there and I have quite a library of my own and love each one of them!
However, one resource that I have truly loved over the last few years is my subscription to “bake From Scratch” magazine.
This magazine is a baker’s lovers dream. It is incredibly inspirational and after reading an issue, you can’t wait to get into your kitchen to try out all the recipes.
Everything you could ever imagine in the baking arena is addressed.
I first received this subscription as a Christmas gift after spotting an issue in the local bookstore and thought, I just have to get this. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Favorites Sections in the Magazine
Two of my favorite contents in the magazine apart from the amazing recipes are:

- Bakery Profiles- Highlighting some amazing bakers and Pastry Chefs
The recent issue of July/Aug is filled with sourdough basics, blueberry and blackberry recipes, how to bring out that muffin pan to new levels, and the multipurpose use of puff pastry.

Oh, did I mention the fantastic pictures each issues has? Each issue is loaded with amazing photos of delicious looking baked goods that you can almost taste simply by just looking at them!
