Beach Coffee Shops-Orange Beach, Alabama

Life is pretty good when you get to unwind, relax, and enjoy some time at the beach. Gorgeous views of the water as you look out from your balcony from your favorite beach retreat. Awesome, and another favorite is finding local beach coffee shops to drop in to enjoy a cup of joe, maybe have a sweet treat to boot. Orange Beach, Alabama offers two really great options that we can’t wait to visit again.

Buzzcatz: Coffee and Pastries

First up is Buzzcatz Coffee and Sweets. I love their advertisement in offering locally roasted coffee, home-made pastries, and delectable delights. All so very true!

You walk in and you love the atmosphere, its family friendly and you are greeted by a huge menu board overflowing with offerings to ponder over. As I made my way in, I immediately go to the pastries. Who can resist. One of the things I love about visiting local shops is finding the unique pastries they offer. Buzzcatz didn’t disappoint.

Pastries

After scanning the pastry case we decided upon the ginormous blueberry biscuit. It looked increadible! Blueberries is something I just love! We took it back to our balcony and enjoyed with our awesome coffees. Absolutely incredible. Reminded me so much of a cross between a quick bread and a biscuit. Simply wonderful. Life is pretty good.

Some wonderful pastries offered:

  • Breakfast “Hollah” (Challah dough filled with eggs, cheese, and bacon)
  • Gigantic Cinnamon Rolls
  • Kitten Biscuits
  • Home-made Poptarts
  • Breakfast Bars
  • Cookies (Of course)
  • Cheesecakes

Additionally, they offer a different breakfast platter each day of the week (Flapjacks, Breakfast Burrito’s, Waffles, Omelets, and French Toast).

Coffee Of Course

Uniquely, they offered a wonderful salted caramel flavor they make home-made in house. Perfectly added to my favorite coffee drink, The Iced Caramel Latte. Delicious, so good in fact we went back a second time for a repeat!

The Southern Grind Coffee House

Next up, is The Southern Grind. The name totally drew me in as I’m a southerner at heart. Immediately, I fell in love with this place. Not only is it warm and inviting, but decorated in beach/nautical decor-galore and it is a place where you just want to come to and relax and enjoy your morning or afternoon. The atmosphere is totally inviting and so much fun to look around at the beach decorations.

Back to the coffee, wonderfully enjoyed. As with Buzzcats, they offer an array of menu items to include salads and sandwiches for anytime of the day.

Also they have a wonderful collection of beach items and packaged coffees. Much to choose from and so much fun exploring. I fell in love with some of their books and kitchen items, including their inspirational coffee cups.
