Authentic Italian

Since returning from Italy last summer we’ve always been on a quest in finding authentic Italian gelato.  Just fell in love with this frozen treat in Italy as it is so creamy, light, and lower in fat that traditional ice cream-an added bonus!

However, look no further, we struck gold  at Paolo’s awesome gelato shop.  After visiting family in my hometown of ATL-GA (yes I’m a Georgia Peach at heart),  we embarked on the neat suburb of Virginia Highlands, nestled right outside of Midtown, Atlanta.

Upon walking into the shop, you immediately feel as if you walked in from the streets of Italy and are greeted with an array of flavors to choose from.  Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate pieces) is my all time favorite and it did not disappoint.  It was so creamy and delicious and equally as fantastic as the gelato we had in Italy.  What’s wonderful,  was it brought back memories of our summer nights in Rome right outside the Vatican eating some of the best gelato ever.

If you are ever in the ATL area I totally recommend you stop in to try some for yourself.  I promise you will not be disappointed.  Oh and also, they have a shop in Charleston too.
