Cheesecake Cookies-Oreo and Strawberry
Two Are Better Than One
These cheesecake cookies are creamy and delicious. My two favorite cheesecake flavors are Oreo and strawberry, with lots of crushed Oreo’s and strawberry topping oozing off the top. When time to purchase a slice, I always have such a hard time deciding which one to choose from as they are both so good!
I’m reminded of those great sales in the store, “Buy one Get One Free,” sounds like a pretty good deal don’t you think? Who doesn’t love a deal like that, I’m always up for a super, fantastic deal as two are definitely better than one.
However, I have an even better deal for you, let’s call it a “sweet” deal.
This cheesecake cookie recipe gives you two great cookies from one basic dough, Yum!
This recipe is super simple and easy, where substituting just one ingredient for the base recipe gives you two delicious, creamy cookies. There is no leavening agent in these cookies, it totally relies on mechanical leavening and heat to give the cookies their needed lift.
Oreo and Strawberry Jam
Crushed Oreo’s and strawberry jam are the secret weapons here that are added to give you the two cookies. These cookies bake up super wonderful and you are left with a creamy texture and richness of the cream cheese, much like a slice of cheesecake.
Additionally, the strawberry cookie gives a more soft and chewy texture compliments of the jam and adds that hint of strawberry taste.
Chocolate of Course
Of course, the cookies are just as wonderful on their own without needing anything additional. However, I decided to take it up a notch by enhancing the cream cheese flavors by vanilla drizzle on the Oreo cookie, and a partial chocolate bath for the strawberry version. Technically, I guess you could call it a strawberry chocolate cheesecake cookie?
For the decorations, I used melted chocolate bark for each as it hardens nicely for a nice look and makes for a delicious cookie and fun presentation.
Two For One!
Bon Appetit!

- Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cream the butter with the cream cheese till creamy.
- Add the sugar and mix till combined, then add the vanilla and mix well. Mix in the flour and salt and mix till the dough is combined well.
- Oreo: On low speed add the Oreo crumbs and mix just till incorporated. Strawberry: Add the jam and mix just till incorporated
- Place 2" apart on baking sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes just till the ends get lightly golden brown and done. Remove and cool completely. The strawberry cookies may need a few more minutes to finish baking.
I like to use these extra large baking sheets as they are a perfect fit for one recipe of cookie batter.
Try experimenting with different flavors of cream cheese for different flavors.
