Strawberry Orange Rolls

Cinnamon rolls, or any other breakfast rolls are super popular in my house. I’m always a big fan of cinnamon rolls but my husband LOVES orange rolls. Mostly thought, I love strawberries, so I married our two loves together for these delicious Strawberry Orange Rolls filled with orange zest, strawberry jam, and topped with an orange glaze.
Mmmmm, there is nothing like a warm orange roll right out of the oven and glazed for that ooey-gooey, heaven on earth, breakfast experience. My husband would definitely agree.
Memories
I remember being newly married and making the Pillsbury version of these. Until then, I had never had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into an orange roll. That is where things changed for the better! 🙂
Orange Inspiration-Local Bakery
Orange Meets Edgars
Here in our town in Alabama, there is a wonderful bakery called Edgar’s, Hold on to your hat because they make some of the most ridiculous homemade cinnamon rolls and orange rolls daily. They are to DIE for! Actually, probably more appropriate to call them monster rolls s they certainly look like one!
However, these Strawberry Orange Rolls are super light and fluffy and loaded with orange icing.

With many visits, we have decided the orange roll rules! After multiple taste tests, my family is in unanimous consent! The flavor is amazing and just comes singing out once you take a bite. Oh, so delicious.
Our biggest problem is restraining ourselves from making constant trips to the bakery to indulge ourselves! But always fun when we do!
Making Them At Home
The Orange Dough Recipe
Making them at home is super simple. The recipe is super user friendly and makes a delicious light and moist breakfast roll. I load the dough with fresh orange zest which really brightens up the dough. This gives the signature flavor for these Strawberry Orange Rolls.

More importantly, the dough rises beautifully and super easy and elastic to roll out.
Filling-Strawberry and Orange

Just can’t get enough of that orange flavor, the filling is also loaded with fresh orange zest along with strawberry jam. The jam is subtle and goes so well with orange being careful not to let one flavor overrule the other. Also, I love the contrast of colors here with the hint of red and the zest.
Orange Icing-Of Course

To top off these delicious rolls, icing, of course is a total must. All in moderation… or maybe not! I love loading it on pretty thick!
Glazing your works of art brings it all together along with the addition of fresh juice and zest to finish and highlight the star of the show.
A simple bite, your mouth gets an explosion of orange and strawberry simultaneously in one bite. Not only a great addition to your breakfast table, but your palate as well!
These Strawberry Orange rolls are perfect also for Christmas morning too!
Happy Baking!
